Well…. that was a big one. Firstly, thank you. Thank you so much for your support. I’m still so overwhelmed. I won’t share with you exactly how many orders we took, created, and delivered over the Mother’s Day weekend, but I will say, we smashed our records by a hell of a lot. Our cute little shop in our tiny market town turns into a big old business and we love every minute of it. Our customers have been so loyal and understanding in what has been such a stressful time, being in lockdown, adapting to new rules weekly on top of a whole new way of buying our stock from Holland under the new Brexit laws. It’s been the toughest in 15 years by far! From the design through to the execution, the logistics, the sales, the back office stuff, buying, accounts, and the delivery… there’s a lot that goes into every bouquet we send out. We had 20 drivers out delivering to your mums on Mother’s Day weekend while you couldn’t see them. But it’s a testament to my amazing team to how easy it looks. The flower game is a pretty one for sure, but on weeks like this, we ride the heavy wave and that means copious amounts of coffee, incredibly late nights, painfully early mornings, organized heads, quick and precise making, and a serious amount of hard graft.
So thank you to our wonderful customers. We are grateful for every order.
And thank you to my brilliant team who make me belly laugh until it hurts, hourly.
Next year will see us grow like never before. We have big plans and you’ll see us develop as a business to meet our growing demand. New ways of working, new products, new systems behind the scenes… But don’t worry, you’ll get the same personal touch you’ve always had… because that’s our favourite part of this big little business.
